
Janelle Jones
Janelle Jones is originally from Virginia Beach, Va. She began her training at the Virginia Ballet Theater in Norfolk, VA, which later in her training merged to Ballet Virginia. She also attended the Virginia Governor’s School for the Arts as a ballet major.
Janelle performed in various ballets growing up such as the Nutcracker, Coppelia, and Swanlake. After high school she attended the Fordham Unviersity/Alvin Ailey American Dance School Program, where she received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance. Upon graduation she has performed globally in Paris and Uganda, various freelance gigs in New York City, and three seasons with Busch gardens Williamsburg. She has been featured in “Dance Spirit Magazine” twice.
Janelle is now the Director of Churchland High School’s Dance program, and is teaching all across the Hampton Roads area at multiple studios. Janelle is also the creative mind behind Rhythm Pulse. She truly hopes to connect the community of her hometown through the love of dance.
