Ashley Davis is a native of Atlanta, GA. She began her studies of the art of dance under the instruction of ballet great, Mr. Thaddeus E. Hayes, at the age of 5 years old. Through hard work and perseverance, Ashley advanced from beginner’s level classes all the way to advanced level dancing. She is well known for various solos and as a feature dancer. Ashley later furthered her study of the art of dance under Mrs. Gail Harts. She has been trained in the areas of Ballet, Pointe’, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Lyrical, Tap, African, and Liturgical. Under Mrs. Harts, Ashley was part of one Hampton Road’s most prestige competition teams featured in numerous newspaper articles and on featured news broadcast segments. She is a multiple Platinum, and High Gold winner amongst many local and national competitions across the U.S. Ashley also won a dance scholarship to American Ballet Company in New York City, New York. Ashley also trained under Mr. Vincent Epps with the SEVAA Summer Arts program and performed in various performances. She was an eagerly constant yearly participant and performer for the Black College Dance Exchange through various HBCU’s such as Florida A & M University, and Fisk University.
Upon graduating from Western Branch High School in Chesapeake, Virginia she attended Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Lithonia, Georgia. She is an honor graduate with an Associate’s of Science in Mortuary Science (Funeral Services) from Tidewater Community College. She works as a licensed Funeral Director and trade Embalmer.
Dance has been her passion for over 22 years, with a specialty in Ballet and Pointe’. She has served as a dance instructor in liturgical dance for over 10 years.
